... That you just knew Gavin and Stacey would come back.

Quote
Ruth Jones has confirmed plans are underway for a new one-off special of hit BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.

Jones, who co-created the BAFTA-winning comedy with James Corden, revealed the news to fans attending a charity event in Barry, South Wales. She said: "There may be a special one day - it's being talked about." She added: "It looks like there will be a Gavin & Stacey special some time in the future. It will show how things worked out for Gavin and Stacey - and for Nessa and Smithy."

In an admission that will tantalise Gavin & Stacey’s millions of fans, James Corden revealed he had chatted with co-writer Ruth Jones about the prospect of a Christmas special. ‘I spoke to Ruth last night actually,’ he said.

‘I’m pretty sure we’ll never make another series because I feel like we wrapped the story up quite nicely. But I think the idea of dipping in one Christmas to see what they’re all up to would be a nice thing to do.’
