Anyone watching this Barmy sitcom? 10.35 monday nights BBC1, bloody funny stuff,
a fella called Brendan O'caroll stars as a an Irish mother of 6 kids and she continuosly interferes in thier lives with hilarious results,played in front of a live audience,foul language and inuendo are the order of the day!

Seen this one a couple of months ago on Irish TV.

I just love Brendan O'Carroll, he wrote 4 books on Agnes Browne, the first of which (The Mammy) was made into a movie starring Anjelica Huston (Agnes Browne) back in 1999, and then a series of very successful live shows were made (available on DVD), which have now turned into this sitcom, co-produced by the Beeb.

Recommended, indeed!

Yes, the plays had a lot of good press though I never saw them. I tried watching this but I really couldn't stomach much of it. Not sure what it was that I didn't quite like, so i think I'll watch another couple of episodes to see if I warm to it. That's usually how it works with me...

My jury is still out...
