Anyone seen this aborted (apparently) ITV series?

Thought, I believe, as an answer to BBC's "Hustle", mixing action, comedy and drama, its main feature is David Jason as the protagonist, and was met by appalling reviews...

Actually, I thought the 2-hours pilot, made in 2005, was plain brilliant, and here reviewers seem to agree...

Of these I've only managed to catch the very first one, "A Royal Affair", and it didn't seem THAT bad to me... but I must admit David DID look a bit out of sorts, here...
