Well, let me put it this way: teams like Italy and France have a lot more to recriminate, because they COULD have put together much better teams, if they didn't have brainless coaches, while this is all England could do, they were beaten fair and square by a better team, should be accepted at face value.
Of course, expectations were much higher than this for England, and not only for English supporters, but perhaps those expectations were pumped up by the very same rags which elected Capello as a demi-god a couple of months ago, and are extremely busy right now in finding the most 'orrible ways of slagging him tomorrow morning...
It's the same with Italy and its coach right now, even though it should have been obvious to anyone who've ever seen at least one football match in their lives that they were the most pathetic Italian team in history, but then they have historical reasons to believe in blind luck, if it happened once...

And it's back to square one, as Rogue says, IF Green hadn't done that blunder, IF England had played Ghana instead of Germany... we'll never know, of course, but it's no use slagging Capello now, although I hate the man's guts and must admit I will actually enjoy tomorrow's rags titles, they'll do a world of good to his immense ego at least, but I really believe they will be unfair, England missed some of their best men, Ferdinand out of the picture altogether and Rooney out of shape, and while most of top teams have equally or nearly as good alternatives, England's reserves are miles behind the first team's choices, and that's that, I think.
