Are we running too many quizzes at the same time?

Maybe, but I seem to notice that, while we're all rather knowledgable on our favourite subject matters, our memories seem to be a bit shaky on details...

And yet, I'm sure we all remember specific dialogue lines and running gags, maybe not word-perfect, but I'm willing to give it a try...

Rules as usual, a correct answer gives the right to ask a new question, I'm starting with a rather difficult one, but I'm giving a big hint...

You can fool some of the people all of the time, none of the people most of the time… but if some of the people fool part of the people all of the time then most of the people are fooled none of the time by all of the people some of the time...

This was a parody of Stan Laurel's famously misquoted proverbs, uttered in a lovely hommage to Laurel & Hardy done by one of the giants of British comedy together with another great, but perhaps not as famous, performer...

Bad choice for starters, I guess...

It's from "Another Fine Mess", an episode in Ronnie Barker's "Seven of One" series, the "birthplace", so to speak, of sitcoms such as "Porridge", "Open All Hours" and "My Old Man".

Roy Castle was "Stan" in that, while Big Ron was, rather obviously, "Ollie" Smiley

Here's a more popular one...

This time next year, we'll be millionaires!

Sounds familiar, but...

I'll go with a blind guess... Tony Hancock?

Hmmm... what could be the most way off Hancock... I know! It's Ricky Gervais! Grin

No, seriously, yes, no, shhh, lissen... Cheesy

As a more "informed" blind guess, considering this is a rather "elegant" turn of phrase (which led me to think of Hancock at first), and knowing you a bit Wink, this might be from Dad's Army, but I haven't the faintest on who says it...

I can hardly believe it myself, being able to answer so many questions on Steptoe & Son... just being very lucky with the episode's choice... Cheesy

This is a dialogue between Leonard Rossiter and Harry H. Corbett.
