Are you game for a quiz? No prizes, I'm afraid, but it could be fun nevertheless Smiley

30 images of comedians in some sort of disguise will be shown here on a basically daily basis, or until found out, to be identified by YOU, with points awarded as such…

Actor(s) Name(s) - 5 points
Character(s) Name(s) - 5 points
Series Title - 5 points
Episode Title and/or date - 5 points

Partial answers are allowed, and other people may complete them, but since that would be a big tip, at a reduced points rate, 3 instead of 5.

Some of this stuff will turn out pretty difficult, I guess, so, in the best tradition of Q.I. I might award points for funny or generally "interesting" answers even if incorrect, on a totally whimsical basis Wink

A couple of tips before starting… actors might appear more than once (if they're good... Wink), it doesn't have to be a sitcom, doesn't even have to be from TV, but it has to be comedy and a series… nuff said, let's start with a very easy one…

Can you identify this dynamic duo? 'Course you can... Wink

Good, our first lap winner is here, ZekeWolf with 20 points!

IMG 01 is indeed...
Nicholas Lyndhurst and David Jason as Rodney and Del Boy Trotter
in "Only Fools and Horses" ([S08E01], "Heroes and Villains", 25 December 1996)

And now for something also... pointedly easy...  Grin

You don't have to keep quiet, Rogue, as I was saying partial answers are allowed.

That's 10 points for Aitch, then, we still miss character's name (which is really TOO easy Smiley) and episode, which might be a bit difficult and I might waive it, just this once... Smiley

It being early stages of the game, in fact, I feel generous, and will take your word that you know the character's name, Rogue, but you'll only get 3 points on trust for that... Smiley

IMG 02 is...
Ronnie Barker as Mr. Spock
in "The Two Ronnies" (S03E02, 11 october 1973)

Current scores, then...

1. Zeke Wolf - 20 points
2. Harry Fielder - 10
3. Rogue - 3

And here's a chinaman for the connoisseurs...

That's 5 points for Phil, Tony Hancock it is... and it shouldn't be too difficult to find out the rest, he wasn't very often in any type of disguise... c'mon folks, I'll give you a few more hours for this Smiley

Yes and no, which gets you 3 points... the show is right, the situation was worse than that, here all the jobs Sid can get him are bouncer-in at ethnic restaurants, so he goes on a European tour and ends in a bullfight in Spain...

And you all seem to have overlooked the character's name, eh? Smiley

IMG 03 is...
Tony Hancock as… Anthony Aloysius St. John Hancock
in "Hancock's Half Hour" (S05E09, "Spanish Interlude", 13 November 1959)

As a margin note, owners of the DVD box-set might have noticed, throughout this whole episode, a nasty hair hanging from the top of the screen.
Well, before the DVDs came out I had a few episodes in "pirate" copies, and this specific one didn't have the hair at all...

Obviously, someone had restored at least a few of the episodes, probably for some relatively recent TV showing, and the rather obvious question that ensues is, why on Earth didn't they use the restored versions in the DVDs?

Ah, well, time to move on, scores after the third lap are then...

1. Zeke Wolf - 20 points
2. Harry Fielder - 10
3. Rogue - 6
4. Phil Glass - 5

... and this is going to be a bit of a toughie, at least for the source, guess the actor is easy...

A poet for the passionate (and there's a tip there... Smiley)

No, Phil, the character's name is not Stick-it-up-your-Pompeii... Wink
And you weren't as far off the mark as you might imagine, Rogue... at least you didn't say it was Simon Cowell... Grin

IMG 04 is...
Frankie Howerd as Robert Browning (disguised as a doctor)
in "Carry On Christmas", 24 december 1969

Now, did we know Simon Callow actually WAS in a Carry On production, namely the "Carry On Laughing" TV series? I surely didn't, not until I looked up his Wiki... well, he doesn't actually appear in there, which might explain why we never noticed Smiley, his part was cut for some reason, but it's still on record Smiley

Scores after lap 4...

1. Zeke Wolf - 20 points
2. Harry Fielder - 10
3. Phil Glass - 10
4. Rogue - 6

Now, a wild-eyed and wild-haired fellow (I keep giving you tips there... Smiley)

I wonder... was this really difficult, or you all just went on holiday for a while? Smiley
Because the really difficult stuff is way to come... Wink

OK, the first blank came sooner than I expected, IMG 05 is...
Rowan Atkinson as a Jehova's Hairdresser
in "Not The 9 O'Clock News" (S02E02, 7 april 1980)

Here's one for the ladies... Smiley
