Roy Barraclough? No, guess there's a bit of a misunderstanding there, I didn't mean the man, I meant who's the parrot...

But it surely was difficult, what with the dye-job he's had here, hiding his famed beautiful plumage... yes, that's him alright, the famous Norwegian Blue who played dead (and took quite a bit of a battering in the process) in the renowned Monty Python sketch, a BAFTA winning interpretation for drama, with his intense, moving and unforgettable pining for the fjords scene... Grin

All the above to remind you of the "Q.I. rule", in fact I'm going to give myself 5 points for making up a Quite Interesting and hopefully funny, but otherwise altogether wrong answer... Grin

Back to the human, then, who's really not Roy Barraclough...

Gorblimey, and I was in two minds about including this image, thinking it would have been ridiculously easy to recognize one of the most familiar faces in the history of British Comedy... (cackles)... Wink

P.S. Come to think of it... I'll actually give you 3 extra points for the parrot's name, too... Wink

Yes, it is Sid James (more self-kicking to be administered by some, I guess Wink)

But no, while that was certainly a well-educated guess, "Carry On Laughing" it isn't... costumes can be deceiving...

And yes, I'm serious about giving extra points for the parrot... he did have a name and was a regular in the cast, so why not? I'm actually giving you a tip there... Smiley

Well, I guess average rules in quiz games state that once something is said, it stands... even if you were actually ruling the correct answer out... Grin

Yep, they did have a budgie, little Joey, but at some point in the series he was joined by the parrot...

So, you got yourself 5 points for actor and 3 (second attempt) for the show... if you want a third attempt, I'll have to take some more points off, 2 for character name and episode...

But the 3 for the parrot's name still stand Cheesy

Well, the character name should be Sid Abbott... as for the episode, could it be "The policeman, the paint and the pirates"?

It is infuriating, isn't it, making good and educated guesses, and seeing that it doesn't work... it SHOULD have been that episode, but it wasn't... Wink

Well, time's up, and I have to make complicated calculations for the scores... Smiley

IMG 09 is...
Sid James as Sid Abbott (disguised as Long John Silver) with Cedric the parrot
in "Bless This House" (S06E06, "Something of Value", 4 march 1976)

Cedric was only in the sixth and final season, btw, and didn't do much, plot-wise, to be remembered by posterity, except for dropping one on a stuffed monkey... Grin

Also, Sid James did actually play the "real" (so to speak) part of Long John Silver in one of the "Carry On Christmas" specials.

And so we have...

1. Rogue - 39 points
2. Zeke Wolf - 33
3. Phil Glass - 16
4. Harry Fielder - 10
5. Gomez Addams - 5 Wink

This one should be easy for good... Smiley

Ronnie Corbett.  This sketch doesn't ring the bell to me so I would guess he's either Queen Victoria or Lady Bracknell from 'The Importance of Being Earnest'.  Show:  The Two Ronnies...  I hope...

Hmm... here's a rule I haven't made up yet... can you propose two candidates for character saying it's either this or that? Normally not, I'd say, but at the same time I'm using acts of kindness towards all, one at the time, but only ONCE each, OK? Smiley

So that's 15 points going to Phil, for Wee Ronnie, Queen Victoria, and the Two Ronnies...

Now, just to make this last a bit longer... don't want the specific episode, but there's no less than 5 points, and that's extra, still going for telling me from which sub-serial within the Two Ronnies this screenshot came... Smiley

I know they did an oscar wilde spoof which is why the uncertainty... I'll stick to one answer in future.  Ah, wee Ronnie.  Hung like a donkey apparently.  Smaller guys have all the fun it seems...

No idea of the serial, sorry.  Great competition, this is great fun, "keep it up" (as the actress said to the bishop).

Well, he often jokes about his height, but I don't remember him ever mentioning THAT... Cheesy

"I had a bit of a frightening experience tonight, coming to the studio, just crossing the road outside here.
I was just stepping off the kerb and my parachute failed to open!"

(Ronnie Corbett - the Chair Monologues) Grin

IMG 10 is...
Ronnie Corbett as Queen Victoria
in "The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town"
written by Spike Milligan (and a gentleman)
from "The Two Ronnies" (S05E03, 18 september 1976)

And yes, the competition is very much on, but with 400 points still to go there's time even for newcomers to be serious contenders...

1. Rogue - 39 points
2. Zeke Wolf - 33
3. Phil Glass - 31
4. Harry Fielder - 10
5. Gomez Addams - 5

Now, I promise you this is one of the last really easy ones... I do believe it'll be 20 points for the quickest... Wink
