I belatedly hope you all had a happy x'mas and wish you a merry new year, in the company of beloved ones AND good comedy! Smiley

This is the time of the year when we have the longest holidays and the worst weather, in the (relative) west at least, which means we'll spend lots of time indoors, eating, drinking and generally being merry in good company, but we can't do that ALL the time, if only for dietary reasons Wink, so what are we watching these days, after the kids have gone to bed and uncle Albert has passed out, utterly plastered? Wink

Last year I had an Ealing Comedies "theme" for my winter holidays, this year I expanded into more old British comedy movies, taking the usual advantage of Amazon's x'mas bargains, here's what I'm watching:

"Singles"...

Best of British Collection:
Ladies Who Do (Peggy Mount, Harry H. Corbett, Robert Morley...)
Double Bunk (Ian Carmichael, Sid James, Liz Fraser...)

British Comedy Classics:
What A Carve Up! (Sid James, Kenneth Connor, Dennis Price...)

Box-Sets...

Slam Dunk Media - Long Lost Comedy Classics:
Orders Are Orders (Sid James, Tony Hancock, Peter Sellers...)
Make Me An Offer (Peter Finch, Richard O'Sullivan...)
The Love Match (Thora Hird, Arthur Askey...)
John & Julie (Sid James, Meg Jenkins...)
Time Gentlemen Please (Sid James, Thora Hird...)
Miss Robin Hood (Reg Varney, Sid James, Margaret Rutherford...)

Comic Icons - Terry-Thomas Collection:
School For Scoundrels (TT, Ian Carmichael, Alastair Sim, Dennis Price...)
Private's Progress (TT, Richard Attenborough, Dennis Price, Ian Carmichael...)
Make Mine Mink (TT, Hattie Jacques...)
Too Many Crooks (TT, George Cole, Sid James, Bernard Bresslaw...)
The Naked Truth (TT, Peter Sellers, Peggy Mount, Dennis Price, Joan Sims...)
Brothers in Law (TT, Richard Attenborough, Ian Carmichael...)

Comic Icons - Alastair Sim Collection:
The Green Man (AS, George Cole, Terry-Thomas...)
Folly To Be Wise (AS, George Cole...)
Geordie (AS...)
Left Right and Centre (AS, Ian Carmichael...)
Laughter in Paradise (AS, George Cole...)

Well, guess  the above lot will actually bring me well into summer but I just couldn't resist, there's some stuff which only recently surfaced on DVD, after ages of near oblivion...
