Kylie and Dannii Minogue cover ABBA for sitcom

Singing sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue have recorded a cover of ABBA's 'The Winner Takes It All' for a television sitcom.
The song is set to be the theme tune for the new BBC2 show 'Beautiful People', which stars Meera Syal.
Dannii, who is currently presenting 'X Factor', is reportedly also keen to get back into singing full-time again. The Sun quoted the Aussie singer as saying: "I really miss singing so I am planning to do some more next year."
Dannii and Kylie regularly performed a duet of Robbie Williams' 2000 hit single 'Kids' on Kylie's last world tour.

Well, I'm more at my ease between Tchaikovsky and Ravel, John Coltrane and Miles Davis, or Frank Zappa and the Nine Inch Nails... Grin

But I respect well-done pop music, and you can't beat Robbie Williams there, these days, and Kylie is no slouch herself... and should we mention Madonna, when she's in the mood and William Orbit happens to pass by...? Wink

I call that "intelligent" pop music, where catchy tunes are indeed the focus, but elaborate and well-thought arrangements, and especially good performances, are the key point.

Can't say this was the case with ABBA, but that's only me, of course... Grin
