Sorry if I am breaking any rules or if I am opening this thread in a not appropriate section, but I hope you see I don't mean to spam, I only urge to spread the bad news and hopefully have your support to make our voice heard louder, since I reckon Ideal is a show that is much appreciated around here from other members as well.

In brief BBC has apparently axed Ideal, and this is very disappointing news for every Ideal fan around and from the very staff from Ideal, with Graham Duff and Johnny Vegas among the others who seem to be very upset for the show's abrupt shutdown, since it is indeed very popular.

If you wish to help the cause you may sign this petition http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/saveideal/ or you may join this group on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/groups/248021625222939/?notif_t=group_activity

Cheers

It is sadly official. Tom Goodman-Hill first tweeted it on Tuesday afternoon, and it was soon confirmed by other cast members, and creator Graham Duff. The sickener is that series 7 ended on a cliff-hanger. On previous occasions the series had been concluded in a way that gave them an out, but with great reviews, more sales around the world, and bigger name guests wanting to appear, it wasn't unreasonable to again leave us in suspense, and in expectation of another series being ordered. As BBC3's most creative show, and one with a loyal fan-base, it's insulting to just do away with it. Johnny Vegas who posted yesterday, had this to say "On days like this I wonder why we bother to strive for excellence within our profession when it can be so easily dismissed with no better explanation than merely 'making a clear sweep' "
For now, we're just getting started on trying to petition the BBC to reconsider this damn fool decision.
