Inappropriate, yes, it's not sitcoms, heck, it's not even TV, but my Christmas "theme" this year is Ealing Comedies, I've seen more than enough of Jimmy Stewart for a while, and all they're running on BBC Prime is the umpteen rerun this year alone of "Only Fools...", and 3-year old "Top Gear" X'mas Specials... and I'm only talking of what's even remotely watchable, then there's the (shudder!) rest... Wink

The "springboard", sort of, was the finding of an old (1980's) Omnibus documentary, "Britain's Greatest Film Studio - Made in Ealing", which triggered an insatiable thirst of re-watching all those unique jewels of British Comedy.

Started with "The Lavender Hill Mob", for no special reasons except I used to live in those parts and Sid James was in it, cor blimey I miss London Wink, next will be "The Maggie", and I'm keeping either "Kind Hearts and Coronets" or "The Ladykillers" for pudding, I still can't decide which is the best... Grin
