A short few years ago, probably longer than that, there was a seemingly sweet British television series on comedy central. The setting; a small European village chalk full of loony characters, specifically an old couple who either owned the only inn in town or rented out the spare rooms. The hook was that people would visit; check in, and then desperately want to leave this place.
It's worth mentioning that it was a gross out comedy.
Some events that occurred during the series were a mal-partitioning veterinarian; with and incident involving a pet turtle and an air hose.
A petting zoo.
And I think the series finished up with the excavation of an occult artifact the turned out to be only a sadist's practical joke.
I only ever watched this show in passing so I can't remember the title, I cant even find a list of British comedies that have aired on comedy central. I've grown a bit sentimental of it these past few weeks and would love to know if you could help me. thanks.

ohhh, wow. It was The League of gentleman all this time, I saw that title around, but It didn't ring any bells.
I'm surprised by this, I think its great. It's stupid but it's great.

oh yeah I'm going to look into that, I'm such a fan now. It's timing seems so much more fast paced than other shows, and it's sincerely creepy in some cases. I love it.

Sorry about the lateness, but I though Roberto may like to know that their new series, "Psychoville", just finished airing on BBC. Some think it's even better than "The League...", not me, not compared to the first season of that, at least, but it's still pretty good dark humour, and with a pretty disquieting Dawn French to boot http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1305562/
