Hi folks:
Just discovered your great forum. Wasn't sure if this fit in the 60s column or the 70s one... or both, so am trying here first!
I'm a big "Brit-com" series fan writing in from Canada. Huge Catherine Tate fan (but had to get her on DVD - she never aired here - she was a scream on Dr. Who, but apparently only briefly!), loved Vicar of Dibley, To The Manor Born, F&S, AbFab, Fawlty Towers, Waiting for God, Keeping up Appearances and many, many more, all the way back to Two's Company with Elaine Stritch, Robin's Nest, and so on.
However... my question for you astute forum members is this:
Sometime between about 1969 and 1972 (which for me would have been between ages 6 and 9 years - you can do the math to see how old I am

) I clearly recall seeing at least ONE episode of a British tv comedy series that had to do primarily with flight attendants (or as they were known then, stewardesses, or "air hostesses").
I can't tell you whether the series was good or really gawdawful kwap, because all I remember was that toward/at the end of one episode, the heroines of the series broke into song (yep, in the aisles, in mid flight, and probably during the meal service - LOL). This tiny fragment of memory has lodged in my mind from that era. It would have been around the same time as Gerry Anderson's cheesy but fun "UFO" - which I remembered much more vividly, and of which, I am not ashamed to say, I recently purchased the DVD boxed set!
I have no idea what the stewardess-centric comedy series was called, how long or short its run was (although I have a hunch it lasted for only one season {or one "series" in UK terms} only), nor whether it was a Beebs invention or an ITV or Granada (or other) series, nor do I know who its cast members were. IIRC, it was filmed in black and white.
In short, I recall very little about it. IIRC, the tone was supposed to be contemporary to the times, i.e. swingin' 60s morphing into early 70s... kinda mod/poppish/hip.(?) And I'm sure it was probably totally sexist tripe as viewed by today's perspective.
From time to time I have googled for it, have searched on IMDB.com and so on, but have come up empty handed every time.
Then today I discovered your forum! Is there ANYONE out there (likely older than me) who might have any tiny clue as to what the heck it is that I saw some 35+ years ago? I remember I enjoyed it, but I was probably 7 years old at the time - and most 7 year olds' taste in television programming is suspect, to say the least.
If I've rung any bells or disturbed any cobwebs in the back of anyone's mind, I'd surely appreciate the benefit of anyone's hints, clues, tips, reminiscences, etc., etc. Thanks all for reading what was originally supposed to have been a VERY brief post!

Cheers!
