BBC Management are proposing to abolish BBC Radio 7 and turn it into a station that simply repeats current Radio 4 shows, re-launching it as ‘Radio 4 Extra’.

Radio 7 (originally called BBC 7) is the digital radio station which regularly broadcasts 'Dad's Army', 'The Likely Lads', and the other Seventies radio series held in the BBC Sound Archives.

The BBC Trust has launched a public consultation on this proposal.
