Yet another one just added to my collection, not seen it yet but,on my birthday earlier this week,i was given the comedy series "Lord Tramp"(1977) starring Hugh Lloyd and Joan Sims with Alfie Bass. anyone seen it? any feedback would be appreciated.
I did ask for this without knowing much about it,with those great comedy stars,it should be good............... Grin
i've got so much other stuff to watch,it may be a while before i get to see it!

Well Rogue,
It ran for 6 episodes in 1977,its the story of a tramp (Hugh Lloyd) who inherits a title and a stately home,as i said Joan Sims and Alfie Bass also star in it.I came across it a while ago while doing some research on Joan Sims......................Its widely available.

Sounds interesting, never even heard of, either, but it doesn't seem to be quite "widely" available, if you know what I mean and I'm sure you do... Wink

Guess I'll wait for you to actually watch it and tell us something more before venturing into a purchase...

Speaking of Joan Sims, another series worth watching might be "On the Up", an early '90s sitcom, not a masterpiece by far, but quite nice.

Starring Dennis Waterman and also featuring another great stalwart, Sam Kelly, here's more details:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098881/

And, of course, she was a regular on "Sykes", although not too often, more's the pity, I've always loved her, too.

I've had a look at "Lord Tramp" (2 eps.) and i have to say i'm disappointed! i feel the show is a bit daft,it would have been better as a kids show,it has that silliness about it,Hugh Lloyd had the idea for the show.
A shame as the cast list is impressive........................... Sad
